2019.10 – Cone Health to Distribute Our Multilingual Children’s Book

As you may have already heard, Reading Connections has published a multilingual children’s book, “Why Ducks Sleep on One Leg.” The book is printed in two languages used by the Montagnard community and English. With the help of David and Deb White of Castlerigg Press, we have been busy sharing our book with the community.

We are pleased to announce that as part of a five year, $50,000 sponsorship from Cone Health, we are able to distribute 500 of these books to Cone Health doctor’s offices and waiting rooms throughout the county. As a result of Cone Health’s generous support, thousands of families will get the opportunity to read our book and learn more about the important role that the Montagnard community plays in Guilford County. We are very grateful for our partnership with Cone Health and their support of literacy in our community.

If you would like to purchase a copy of this book for your own or to be donated to one of our Family Literacy families, please visit Amazon.com,indiebound.org or Scuppernong Books in Greensboro.
