In this role, I pursue funding and outreach opportunities to further the department’s mission to provide inclusive programs, facilities, parks, and open space, ensuring that Greensboro is a great place to work, live, and play.

FUN FACT I love to sing and I am in my second season as a soprano with Greensboro’s Bel Canto Company, a choral ensemble of professional singers dedicated to providing choral concert experiences of the highest caliber.

WORK  I am the Director, Client Success at Paradigm Personality Labs.  Paradigm is a personality assessment provider and, in my role, I help people learn about their unique personality footprint and how it impacts their work, their relationships with others and their personal wellbeing. We work with people and organizations to help them leverage the strengths of their personality as well as identify times when our personality preferences might be a hindrance. I love having the opportunity to coach others to reach their full potential.

FAVORITE BOOK  I read 2-3 books a week and have many favorites. My most recent favorite is Educated by Tara Westover.

FUN FACT  I love to travel and have lived in Europe and Asia.  I have visited 28 countries around the world, but there’s no place like home. I am a Greensboro girl at heart, and I’m proud to raise my two children in a beautiful and diverse community surrounded by family and friends.

WORK My name is Samira Khan. I am a recent graduate from High Point University with a doctorate in leadership in education. I am interviewing for different teaching and leadership positions at local universities.

FAVORITE BOOK The Body Keeps the Score written by Bessell van der Kolke M.D. The book has research-based information about trauma and pathways to recovery.

FUN FACT  I enjoy CrossFit training.  My biggest joy in life is helping others. I am currently working to help a few refugee families in the Triad area. I am connecting them with the right resources to learn English, find safe neighborhoods to live in, and get jobs.
