Our job and career training program helps students with the job training, computer skills, math, and literacy skills needed to get jobs that pay well and match what employers are looking for. We provide different levels of training and programming to meet the needs of our students, at no cost to students thanks to our supporters!

GREENSBORO

 

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING

Next classes starting September 2026 In Greensboro, SIGN UP NOW!

This program for native English speakers will feature classroom study of Advanced Manufacturing, hands-on training at Forge Greensboro, forklift training and certification at GTCC, soft skills training, and manufacturing company site visits!

This program will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at our Reading Connections Greensboro Hub at Hunter Elementary School (and one weekend of forklift training).

PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT

This program for native English speakers will provide students with contextualized learning studying a career in Personal Case Assisting. Students will have an opportunity for hands-on training with our partner Caring Hands Home Health.*

This program will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:00 am – noon at the Family Success Center.

SHE BUILT THIS CITY

Next classes starting TBD Fall 2026 In Greensboro, SIGN UP NOW!

This 10-week “Tour of the Trades” program offers women the chance to explore electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and more. Alongside hands-on experience, we provide related instruction in English language learning, construction math, and essential soft skills. Upon completion, women are assisted in securing construction-related employment or paid apprenticeships in the field of their interest.
